Feelings/ Overall thoughts

 Hey guys, I decided that I wanted this blog to cover my thoughts and feelings during this whole film making process. Creating my short film for media studies was an exciting and educational experience but it could be a little stressful at times. First we had brainstormed our ideas before finally deciding what we actually wanted the movie to be about.  During me and my groups brainstorming process it was a little stressful because we couldn't collectively decide on what we wanted to do since everyone had just so many ideas. We then gathered our team and assigned roles which was not as hard because everyone knew what role they wanted to do. Me and my team did finish our movie a little late due to the fact that we had complications trying to link up and actually film which was overly aggravating. I do track so I always had practice, Kenadie always had work and had to attend her job, while Tamaya always had plans with family. Disregarding everything else, after finally filming our movie we loved the outcome and I was happy with my group and how good we did. That's all this blog is going to be covering, bye bye.

Editor tricks

 Hey guys, so my editor gave me some tricks of what she did to make our film  so i’m gonna share it with you.  Since we aren’t professionals at making films and editing them, the sounds that was needed to give meaning to the film was took off youtube while she made sure they weren’t copyright. The rest of the film where she used filters, words, transitions etc was all used with cap-cut. That’s it for this blog bye guys!

Life of cinematographer

Life of a cinematographer was not easy due to the fact I had no experience in doing any of this before but it turned out to work pretty well. When filming our movie I made sure to focus the camera on little things that made u ask questions like “why is the bracelet being zoomed in on?” or “why is the camera showing the actors back instead of face?”. When recording I realized camera angles plays a really important role in films. This is all for this blog, hope I could update u guys on some more things that happens very soon bye bye bye!

Filming day pt. 1

 Hey guys! So today was the day we finally filmed the first part of our movie. we went to oak hammock park around 4 and got started. We started the 1st scene of the movie off by filming the missing poster falling on the floor indicating that someone was missing and had been for a very long time. The second part of the intro was filming the setting of the park with a lot of trees and branches. Everything in our movie was filmed with low exposure. I'm the Camera person and director so I recorded everything that happened in the movie while my partner Tamaya is the editor. The 2nd scene of the movie was 2 friends out looking for their other friend and ends up finding the missing poster. When they found the missing poster they realized that their friend has been missing longer than expected.  We could only get about 3 scene filmed today and is gonna finish filming tomorrow. Bye bye guys.
